So since last week was our family reunion, I have decided to do two things...
1- Give a little detail about what we did (Thanks for the idea Kristen)
2- Post way too many pictures!
Tuesday Night:
* Went to the temple to do baptisms and confirmations for some family members.
* Got home, packed, packed, packed, packed, and packed. Yes, there was a LOT to pack!
Wednesday morning:
* Got up at 5 am and packed and headed out
* We made it to the Twin Falls Temple just in time to do the family names that my aunt found. My Cousin Kristen and I stayed outside and watched all the kids.
* Stopped at Costco to pick up pictures and went to lunch
* Drove to Boise and picked up my sister and Landon (Erika was with us) from the airport, then hit the Costco in Nampa to stock up on groceries for the weekend!
* Arrived in Oregon, sat up and talked to everybody at Uncle Dale's til way too late!
Thursday:
* Had breakfast at Uncle Dale's
* Watched an air show at Uncle Dale's! The were crop dusting in the fields surrounding his house and the duster plane repeatedly almost removed the roof off his house and nearly clipped the pine tree a few too many times.
* Moved cows
* Branded cows.
* Watched the ginormous rain/thunder storms come out of nowhere! My poor cousins who were tough enough to stay out and finish working cows in the rain- they were dripping... literally!
* Played games in the rain, came inside and talked until lunch.
* Built Aggravation Boards- it was Aggravating!
* Played aggravation in the garage.
* Had dinner at Allen's followed by a 4 hour game of charades (Cat the Cheese) (Good Break Dancing Aunt Les!)
* Grandma Geri painted every little girl's toenails. She is way too kind and patient!
Friday:
* Ate breakfast in Jason's shop
* Headed in to Baker to do some shopping
* Spent a few too many dollars on glasses/sunglasses at my cousin Nick's shop (Eagle Optical... if you're ever in Baker City, OR you have to go... they are the best!)
* Ate lunch at Jason's (it was raining too hard to be outside)
* RODEO TIME!!!! We had a family rodeo where each event cost a nickel entrance fee. The money was collected, matched by many family members, and donated. When my aunts and uncle's were little, they did this same thing except they donated the money to Primary Children's.
* Watched the controversial chicken slaughter and ate a delicious dutch oven dinner.
* Had an amazing program where we watched a movie of clips of movies patched together from when my mom was a baby and of her family and everything.
* Afterward we had a highly emotional little program and family prayer. Everybody's eyes were very red afterward.
* Listened to my aunts and uncle's tell stories (the best part of the reunion!) about their childhoods, Grandma, Grandpa, each other, Uncle Jay breaking everybody's legs and constantly getting into trouble, etc.
* Many laughs, smiles, and tears were shed
Saturday:
* Family 5K. Yup- I slept through it!
* Breakfast at Allen's- Scones and Rice Pudding... YUM!
* Golfed for the first time in my life and it was a BLAST! I loved it!
* Made candles with Aunt Pam.
* Dinner at Jason's.
* Skeet Shooting
* Aggravation tournament and cards until WAY too late.
* Winner's tournament on Grandma's original board.
Sunday:
* Go up, packed, and drove home :(
Now that you know the order of events, here come the pictures (since they don't post in order anyway!)
